Ibrahim Hossain has been working as a Lecturer in the Department of Textile Engineering at City University, Bangladesh, since June 20, 2025. He previously served as an Adjunct Lecturer in the Department of Apparel Merchandising & Management at BGMEA University of Fashion & Technology. He had professional, academic, and industrial experience prior to and alongside his academic career. He began his professional life as an Assistant Merchandiser at Fit Creation Ltd. In addition, he worked as a Graduate Research Assistant in the Department of Dyes and Chemical Engineering at the Bangladesh University of Textiles.
Lecturer in the Department of Textile Engineering at City University, Bangladesh, since June 20, 2025. to till date.
Graphene, Nanocomposites, Nanomaterials, Fiber-reinforced structural composites, Biocomposites, Smart Textiles, Sustainable Textiles, Protective Textiles, Apparel Merchandising, additive manufacturing, Antimicrobial Activity, circular economy etc.

Ibrahim Hossain has demonstrated strong academic excellence throughout his academic career. He completed his B.Sc. in Textile Engineering (Apparel Engineering) from the Bangladesh University of Textiles (BUTEX) in 2023 with a distinguished academic result. He also completed his Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) from Dhaka City College with a GPA of 5.00.
